Apple Picking

The last weekend in September, Joe had to go to Texas to be with his dad who was in the hospital (he's okay now!) so my parents and I took the boys to Eckert's for apple picking.  Nathan loved picking the apples and then eating them!  I am pretty sure he ate 2 whole apples while we were there!  He also enjoyed feeding the animals, playing on the "playground equipment", riding the horses, eating the kettle corn, and picking out baby pumpkins for each member of our family.  Will enjoyed eating playing in the hay and napping in Mimi and Bapa's arms while we apple picked.  It was a beautiful day to be outside!  One of the best parts about apple picking with my parents is that my mom always bakes a homemade apple pie (with homemade crust) as soon as we get home!  This year was a little interesting, but one we will never forget-especially because it was the most "beautiful" and tasty apple pie ever, right mom?  :)

Brothers stick together!

This picture is from the next day.  My mom got Nathan a ton of toy dinosaurs and a toy laptop from a garage sale.  Nathan had his two favorite dinosaurs and his laptop at the table during lunch the next day.  He decided the dinosaur was hungry and should share his lunch with him-ha!
