Will turned 7 months old on August 7th! This little guy is getting so BIG-literally! He is getting close to 21 pounds, meaning he is almost out of his infant carrier. Here is all he has been up to this month:
Started solids: green beans were his first veggie (7/8). He has also had sweet potatoes, spinach, butternut squash, peas, and carrots. At first he gave the worst face, but he quickly caught on and LOVES to eat! (surprise, surprise!) His first fruit was peaches (7/31). He has also had avocado, apple, pears, plums, peaches.
Went swimming a bunch! We went swimming several times at our neighborhood pool. He only lasts about 30-45 minutes in the pool before he is ready to get out. We also went to a couple of toddler swims.
He met the Berres Family (my cousin Adrienne, her husband Tim, and sons Gabe and Ben.)
Spent lots of time at Suson park.
Turned 180 degrees in his crib. He also rolled over and slept on his belly. The first couple of times he did it he woke up crying very soon after he rolled over. He really prefers sleeping on his back or side.
Mastered the "baa" and "maa" sounds.
Participated in his first MRI scan for the Washington University infant siblings autism study.
Had his 6-month pictures taken.
Reached out for Mommy to hold him (melted my heart!).
Went to the Magic House.
Had two play dates with HIS friends, not his brothers! Some of the teachers at my school get together to have play dates every two weeks or so. I don't know if we will keep it up this school year, but I really hope we start it up again next summer!
Went to a birthday party at a gymnastics center and had so much fun!
Got his second and third tooth, front bottom left incisor and top right incisor respectively.
Got up on his hands and knees (7/25) and started to rock back and forth (7/26).
Went to Chesterfield Mall to see Winnie the Pooh.
Brought hands together in front of body.
- Moved from sitting to tummy.
Will is such a happy baby. He adores his brother and it is only a matter of time before he is following him around all over the house. He still has no really napping schedule. I thought for sure I'd get him on one this summer, but it never happened. Will is so laid back and is content to sit in the family room and play by himself for long periods of time (anywhere from 10-30 minutes sometimes!).
