South Texas Trip: Days 5, 6, & 7

On Wednesday we planned on going back to the beach, but it rained so we decided to go to the Brownsville Children's Museum.  Nathan and Will played for two hours straight!  It was great because the exhibits were all different from The Magic House here in St. Louis.

That evening we had dinner and then watched TV.  Nathan worked up a sweat watching Fox News so he had to wear his headband by the time we turned on a movie!

The next morning it was off to the beach again!  This time we had to bring the soccer ball!

On the way, we had to count the turtles on the tree stump in the resaca.  We did this daily and sometimes would take a walk just to count them!  Nathan loved it!

There were a bunch of them but they all jumped off!  I think one time we counted close to ten!

We stopped to get the boys shirts on our way home.  We bought them at JAWS!

That afternoon while the boys napped, I spent two hours filling up water balloons.  My fingers were so so so sore from tying over 400 balloons!  It was well worth it though.  We invited cousins and a neighbor over to have a water balloon fight with us.  Even Will played...everyone was pretty nice to him though.  They just broke the balloons over his head! :)  It was all over in 10 minutes!!

The next morning we spent packing and getting ready to leave.  We had a great time with Nana, Grandpa, Andrew, and the rest of the family!  We can wait for Christmas!
