It really is hard to believe that a year ago my baby was born! Even though so much has happened in the last year, the year still flew by faster than ever. I love, love, love being the momma of two sweet little boys!
Here is what Will was up to during the last month:
- He said "uh oh" on his 11 month birthday!
- He sat on Santa's lap at Plaza Frontenac (12/8/11)
- He went to the Scott AFB Christmas Party and sat on Santa's lap again! Santa gave him a Little People Nativity.
- He met Eva Sirman, one of my friends from before college. (We met while in Hawaii on vacation with our parents. We were both in the hot tub and met two other guys who we ended up becoming great friends with and hanging out with the rest of our vacation. I had just graduated from high school and Eva was getting ready to start her junior year of high school. She came to Baylor to visit me that year and rest is history. She came to Baylor, joined my sorority, and became my "grand-little" sister in Theta. We were in each other's weddings and have kept up with each other ever since. It was wonderful to finally have her meet the boys!)
- He played peek-a-boo for the first time while on our bed.
- He LOVES light switches and finally turned one on all by himself!
- On December 16th he stood for a few seconds by himself.
- We went Breakfast with Santa at Eckert's (12/17/11)
- He drank from a cup through a straw for the first time on the airplane to Texas.
- He took his first plane ride and had his first visit to Texas!
- He got his 8th tooth on Christmas morning! He really did get a tooth for Christmas. :) He both his bottom, left side tooth.
- He used a sippy cup for the first time on Christmas Day.
- He said "MAMA!!" He said it while we were at Joe's parents' house for Christmas. It melted my heart. :)
- He stood for about 10 seconds by himself after standing up on his own. Later that week he walked across the room holding only one of my hands. It is only a matter of time before he is walking!
- He celebrated his first New Year! He went with us to the Krenn's house for our annual New Year's Eve party.
- He is in size 4 diapers.
- He sleeps through the night. He goes to bed at 8 p.m. and sleeps until we wake him up to leave each morning at around 6:30 a.m. If we don't have to wake him up he will sleep until anywhere between 8 and 10:30 a.m. It is amazing! Nathan is an early riser, so we LOVE that he sleeps so late. We have decided it was a good thing that Nathan was the one to get up early because who knows how hard it would have been to have the second child be the one who gets up early after having a first child who sleeps in late!
- He takes two naps. One at about 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. or so and another at 1:00 p.m. These also change on the weekends and on days he gets to sleep in.
- He weighs around 26 pounds. We will know for sure on Saturday.
- He screams at volumes and pitches that you have never heard...literally. Our babysitter jokes that she thinks only dogs can her some of his screams. No joke. It makes you want to wear ear plugs...all of the time!
- He LOVES to eat. He currently eats more than Nathan most of the time.
- He loves people. He is so friendly and will go up to just about anyone and let anyone hold him. I'm so glad the separation anxiety hasn't set in yet!
- He is such a happy baby but refuses to smile for the camera!
