Will's First Plane Ride

On December 23rd we left for Texas to spend Christmas with Joe's family.  It was Will's first plane ride and it went really well!  He didn't have problems with take-off or landing.  Nathan enjoyed sitting by the window and seeing the wings of the plane and watching Monsters Inc. on the new DVD player.  We didn't have much of a layover in Houston and we had no delays, so we weren't stuck in the airport trying to entertain two boys!

On the way home things were a  little different.  Our flight from Harlingen to Houston was fine.  We even went to the USO in Houston for a while and let the kids roam a little.  We got to our gate, boarded our plane to St. Louis, only to find out that something was wrong with the plane and we were going to have to get off and get onto a new plane because there were problems with the plane we were on. The boys were great on the flight but poor Nathan had a slight meltdown once we got off the plane.  It was 10:00 p.m. and he was D-O-N-E with traveling.
